Plano Personal Trainer: Slimming Down

When I first decided to use a personal trainer Plano to help me get fit,  I hated to exercise.  I wasn’t sure if i was doing the right types of exercise or if I would get any results, so I usually gave up.  Well, since working with my personal trainer Plano I’ve  come to enjoy cardio workouts.  My personal trainer provided me a heart rate monitor, which I had never used before.  It provides all kinds of helpful data to keep my cardio workouts on track.  For example, my trainer calculated my target heart rate zones during my initial fitness assessment, and my heart rate monitor assists me to stay in that zone throughout my workouts.  I also see exactly how many calories I burn in each workout, which helps to determine my calorie deficit for the day when I compare that to the amount of calories on my daily meal diary.  I have learned a lot from my personal trainer in addition to just how to lift weights, and the results have been incredible.

Another fact he taught me was that exercise and diet are both equally important for losing weight.  My first thought was that if I just workout four times a week with a fitness trainer, I would lose weight.  Nothing is further from reality.  My personal trainer Plano showed me how taking in the right quality and quantity of calories is critical for good health and weight loss.  Combined with a properly structured program of cardio and strength training, healthy eating is the true catalyst for getting fit.

In order to ensure that I eat the right amount of calories and nutrients each day, my trainer has me enter my meals online in a calorie tracking tool.  It was a little tedious at first, but now it’s a daily habit.  If I skip a couple of days, I see the old habits of eating late, snacking, and eating the wrong foods start to come back.  I like the accountability that I get with tracking my meals, and knowing that my trainer is also watching my diary helps, too.

When I first decided to use a trainer to help me get in shape, I was really not sure I would even be able to improve my health.  I have been trying to lose weight for most of my life and tried everything from fad diets, to TV infomercial weight loss products and programs, and all things in between.  Ultimately what I realized is that most of that stuff did not really perform anyway, and what I really needed was the motivation and assistance of a professional, so I’m happy I called my personal trainer.
